Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, pharmacy, healthcare management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience with a background in hospital pharmacy purchasing, buying, procurement, or pharmacy cost-savings optimization.
- 2+ years of project management and/or client-facing experience; implementation experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with pharmacy cost-savings programs, 340B program requirements, and group purchasing organizations (GPOs) is preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, ideally hospital pharmacy or health-system purchasing.
- Strong financial and data analysis skills, including assessing savings performance and identifying optimization opportunities.
- Ability to adapt to change, think quickly, and work independently.
- Ability to build trusting, communicative relationships with customers, including purchasing and finance stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the US as needed.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credentials and ACE certification are strong pluses.
- Excel and SQL skills, and experience with EMRs/ADCs such as EPIC and Cerner or purchasing and wholesaler platforms, are pluses.
Responsibilities
- Manage Procurement Solution implementation projects from kickoff through configuration, go-live, and training while maintaining project timelines.
- Configure and validate data, system outcomes, workflows, and wholesaler or purchasing data feeds.
- Own customer communications before go-live, including weekly check-ins, calls, and emails.
- Manage multiple implementation projects across customers with different priorities, purchasing structures, and deadlines.
- Advise customer purchasing and pharmacy teams on pharmacy cost-savings optimization, 340B compliance, and GPO and contract alignment.
- Train stakeholders on CostCheck savings methodology and savings-versus-cap performance.
- Train stakeholders on 340BCheck compliance and audit workflows and ShortageCheck use and medication tracking.
- Coordinate with customers, wholesalers, GPOs, and internal Clinical, Product, and Development teams on technical and pricing configuration.
- Maintain project plans, tickets, and documentation, and mentor other Implementation Specialists on purchasing- and cost-related workflows.
- Travel to customer sites as needed to support rollouts and meet key stakeholders.
