Requirements
- Have 7+ years of experience in product roles.
- Bring senior individual-contributor experience owning complex problem spaces and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Have 4+ years of experience in payments or fintech.
- Demonstrate strong product judgment and the ability to move forward in messy situations without perfect information.
- Be comfortable working on critical, high-trust systems where reliability matters.
- Work deeply with engineers and designers on complex problems, including technical constraints and tradeoffs.
- Use analytical habits and a practical approach to metrics, dashboards, and instrumentation.
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally in a distributed, async environment.
- Experience with large or global launches is a plus.
- Familiarity with WooCommerce, WordPress, or open-source ecosystems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own product direction and execution for a defined payments product area, with clear goals, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
- Improve merchant and shopper experiences across onboarding, checkout, refunds and disputes, payouts, reporting, and reliability.
- Reduce failures and friction, lower support volume, and improve product ratings and merchant trust.
- Use data, support signals, and merchant feedback to prioritize work, define success measures, and make tradeoffs explicit.
- Work with payments partners, including Stripe and PayPal, to improve integrations, ship changes, manage dependencies, and resolve issues.
- Collaborate day to day with engineering, design, support, and partnerships.
- Write and refine issues in Linear, triage bugs and incidents, review and shape flows in Figma, and create lightweight prototypes.
- Write briefs or PRDs when needed.
- Communicate progress, risks, and decisions to stakeholders.
