Requirements

  • Significant hands-on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining complex Tableau dashboards in a professional environment.
  • Advanced Tableau expertise, including dashboard design, calculated fields, parameters, filters, actions, data modeling, performance optimization, and visualization best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Tableau row-level security.
  • Experience with user-based access controls, entitlement or security mapping, and dynamic data filtering.
  • Strong understanding of how Tableau permissions, data sources, and row-level security interact.
  • Proficiency with relational databases and querying data using SQL or comparable technologies.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into intuitive analytical products.
  • Experience with Snowflake is preferred.
  • Experience with Alteryx or similar ETL/data preparation tools is preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS or People Analytics data, including employee records, organizational hierarchies, and workforce metrics, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud administration, permissions, and governance is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Workday or other enterprise HR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Redesign and enhance Tableau dashboards using modern visualization practices, intuitive navigation, and engaging user experiences.
  • Partner with People Analytics team members and stakeholders to translate business questions and requirements into dashboard solutions.
  • Optimize dashboard performance, usability, and maintainability.
  • Incorporate user feedback into iterative dashboard improvements.
  • Design, implement, test, and maintain Tableau row-level security for sensitive employee data.
  • Develop scalable security models that restrict data visibility based on user identity, organizational hierarchy, role, or defined permissions.
  • Collaborate with People Analytics and technology or security partners on data governance and privacy requirements.
  • Develop and optimize Tableau data sources, connections, and data models, primarily using Snowflake.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to prepare data for dashboard development, and troubleshoot data quality, performance, and integration issues.
  • Document security configurations and solutions, and support knowledge transfer and sustainable maintenance.
