Requirements
- Have 7+ years of product design experience, ideally in a startup or fast-moving product environment.
- Provide a portfolio demonstrating exceptional design, visual craft, and product thinking.
- Have experience designing across web, mobile, and responsive platforms.
- Bring a builder mindset and willingness to solve problems beyond the interface.
- Balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
- Be comfortable with rapid iteration, ambiguity, and deciding when to explore versus ship.
- Have experience creating prototypes to communicate ideas and validate solutions.
- Bring curiosity about AI-powered design and development workflows; Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, or similar tools are a plus, not required.
- Collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, and Design.
- Think in systems and care about scalability, quality, and craft.
- Be excited by ShopMy's mission and eager to help shape its product and ways of building.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design process, from discovery and research through polished implementation, QA, and launch.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to define problems, shape product strategy, and influence what gets built.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, product quality, and experiences for creators, brands, and shoppers.
- Prototype and experiment to validate ideas, communicate concepts, and reduce uncertainty before development.
- Use modern AI tools and emerging workflows to support design, QA, prototyping, and execution.
- Contribute to critiques and product discussions and provide thoughtful feedback.
- Contribute to and evolve the design system for consistency, scalability, and accessibility.
- Deliver polished experiences with attention to detail from concept through launch.
