Requirements

  • Have 3+ years in an SRE, DevOps, or Linux/cloud systems administration role.
  • Bring hands-on AWS experience with VPC networking, IAM, EC2, RDS, and Lambda.
  • Be proficient in Linux administration and scripting with Python and Bash.
  • Have infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform.
  • Have working experience with Kubernetes (EKS), Argo CD, Helm, GitLab CI/CD, and Datadog or comparable observability tooling.
  • Have hands-on Okta administration experience, including SAML/OIDC integrations, provisioning, and MFA.
  • Bring practical security experience with least-privilege IAM, secrets handling, patch management, and network segmentation.
  • Have networking fundamentals covering TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, routing, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and work independently across time zones.
  • Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Reside in the United States or Canada and be located within the Pacific or Mountain Time Zone.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor alerts and dashboards, triage incidents, resolve issues, and escalate with clear context.
  • Patch Linux hosts, containers, and dependencies, and remediate vulnerability scanner findings.
  • Manage VPCs, security groups, VPN, DNS, TLS certificates, IAM, and Fortigate firewalls; route cloud changes through Terraform and GitLab merge requests.
  • Administer Okta integrations, user and application provisioning, group-based access, and MFA troubleshooting.
  • Support EKS cluster health, node groups, upgrades, and scaling; troubleshoot workloads and Argo CD errors.
  • Maintain backup strategies for critical systems and data, and test restore procedures.
  • Write and maintain operating procedures and runbooks.
  • Track AWS spend, remove waste, and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Gather compliance evidence and maintain controls for customer and audit requirements.
