Requirements
- Hold a master’s degree from an accredited university or college in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related field.
- Hold current independent, unrestricted clinical licensure: LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist, or equivalent.
- Have at least 3 years of post-licensure experience as a mental health clinician.
- Have at least 2 years of direct clinical experience delivering care as a telehealth practitioner.
- Have experience in clinical risk management and crisis intervention.
- Be familiar with clinical quality expectations and consistently apply ethical and clinical best-practice standards.
- Be technologically proficient and familiar with Google Workspace, with the ability to learn new systems.
- Preferred: experience delivering care in acute, crisis, or high-acuity settings, such as emergency department, inpatient, mobile crisis, IOP, PHP, or residential.
- Preferred: experience managing adverse incidents and risk-related workflows, including incident review, assessment, documentation, provider consultation, and higher-level-of-care referrals.
- Preferred: experience completing clinical documentation audits and quality reviews, and facilitating clinical training.
- Strongly preferred: 6+ years of post-licensure clinical experience with expertise in clinical risk and quality management.
- Strongly preferred: experience providing clinical supervision, consultation, or mentorship; facilitating clinical risk-management training; or contributing to clinical procedure and policy development.
Responsibilities
- Review and document adverse incidents, crisis alerts, and higher-level-of-care needs.
- Apply clinical expertise to assess risk-related concerns and escalate high-risk or complex concerns for leadership review.
- Provide guidance and consultation to providers following risk-related incidents.
- Facilitate debriefing and Psychological First Aid following significant sentinel events, as assigned.
- Consult with providers on clinical risk management topics, including documentation, ethical practice, safety planning, and mandated reporting.
- Participate in provider onboarding, risk-focused learning communities, and training initiatives; assist in developing clinical risk education materials.
- Partner with Quality Management to investigate complaints, evaluate clinical quality, and conduct audits and quality reviews.
- Gather, organize, and maintain risk-related data; track patterns and summarize findings for leadership review and reporting.
- Apply clinical risk management SOPs, policies, and workflows, and provide feedback on policies, procedures, and systems.
- Coordinate with clinical teams and other departments on safety and risk management projects.
