Requirements
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent; additional education is preferred.
- Have at least 2 years of administrative experience; experience in a psychiatric, addiction medicine, or other medical practice is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals receiving psychiatric and/or substance use disorder treatment is preferred.
- Be comfortable using electronic health records, Google Workspace, and other web-based systems.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive health information.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Have dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Be flexible and willing to assist with team coverage when needed.
- Work collaboratively and contribute to a supportive team environment.
- Have an appropriate remote workspace that supports patient privacy, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process new patient referrals and assist patients through the intake process.
- Provide information about 406 Recovery services and coordinate initial appointments.
- Gather demographic, insurance, and other intake information.
- Create and maintain patient records within the electronic health record.
- Coordinate provider placement and patient scheduling.
- Assist with appointment changes, cancellations, and other scheduling needs.
- Communicate with patients, providers, community partners, and team members.
- Provide administrative coverage and support for other front office team members as needed.
- Complete general administrative tasks and assist with day-to-day practice operations.
