- Languages
- Native proficiency in Serbian; proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
Requirements
- Have native proficiency in Serbian, with exposure to diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
- Have English proficiency at minimum B2 level and clear, natural vocal delivery suitable for audio recording.
- Demonstrate strong auditory perception of speech nuances, accents, pronunciation, intonation, and audio quality.
- Demonstrate the ability to evaluate speech accuracy, cultural vocal expressions, and contextual meaning in multilingual audio.
- Transcribe audio accurately across accents and varying audio quality.
- Translate and localize accurately between English and Serbian while preserving meaning, tone, and cultural nuance.
- Be comfortable providing high-quality voice recordings and feedback on audio samples in multiple languages.
- Exercise independent judgment on ambiguous, noisy, or accented audio and communicate audio-related feedback effectively.
- For work on a personal device, use a Chromebook, a Mac with macOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later.
- Preferred: background in linguistics, speech sciences, cognitive science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: experience with speech/audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, voice models, or translation and localization workflows.
Responsibilities
- Use proprietary software to label, annotate, record, and provide inputs on multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and other auditory elements.
- Translate and localize UI copy, prompts, responses, and other written content from English into Serbian.
- Curate audio data that represents linguistic and prosodic details, including intonation, rhythm, and accent.
- Collaborate with technical staff on tasks addressing speech modulation, accent variation, real-world recording noise, and multilingual audio processing.
- Work with technical staff to improve annotation tools for audio workflows.
