Requirements
- Have 7+ years of experience in Data Science.
- Have a track record of leading high-complexity projects from scoping to production with minimal direction.
- Be able to do at least two of the following: deploy and iterate on ML in production, develop and deploy NLP solutions, apply LLM knowledge, or conduct Bayesian marketing campaign analysis.
- Write production-grade code in Python or a comparable high-level language.
- Have advanced SQL and query optimization skills.
- Be familiar with columnar databases such as BigQuery, ClickHouse, Redshift, or Druid.
- Design, implement, and analyze experiments across product surfaces.
- Be comfortable deriving insights from sparse or privacy-constrained data.
- Collaborate effectively with product teams and contribute to team throughput.
Responsibilities
- Drive product and business impact through statistical modeling, experiment design, Bayesian marketing analysis, and classifier implementation.
- Work across the search engine, instant answers, AI, and revenue optimization.
- Define core product growth metrics and build infrastructure to monitor trends and anomalies.
- Measure the impact of marketing campaigns and translate full-funnel data into actionable decisions.
- Build monitoring pipelines to detect unexpected shifts in search traffic patterns.
- Expand evaluation datasets for page context understanding across complex scenarios.
- Improve trigger systems for AI-assisted answers in DuckDuckGo Search.
