Requirements
- Have 3 to 5+ years of experience in Localization Quality Assurance (LQA), Senior Language Lead, or Quality Governance roles.
- Have direct experience serving as the primary point of contact for client Language Managers.
- Have experience managing formal arbitration or escalation processes and facilitating conflict resolution.
- Have deep, practical experience with localization evaluation frameworks, including RQE, LQE, error rubrics, and severity mapping.
- Be able to analyze style guide changes, identify implicit client expectations, and map tolerance by content type.
- Have hands-on experience with one-to-one coaching, shadowing sessions, alignment roundtables, and structured monthly quality reporting.
- Be able to track error concentrations, severity drift, and alignment scores and turn justification patterns into style guide improvements.
- Have native-level Latvian and professional-level English.
- Preferred: experience supporting major technology localization programs and working with calibration or alignment tools.
Responsibilities
- Review style guide and glossary updates, assess affected quality categories and content types, and record changes.
- Track client Language Manager corrections and feedback from calibration and quality calls.
- Run alignment roundtables with the language community.
- Publish a structured monthly quality digest covering performance, improvement areas, updates, errors, and arbitration outcomes.
- Coach Reviewers one-to-one using specific examples, run shadowing sessions, and deliver training based on alignment data.
- Develop style guide proposals from recurring justification patterns and share cross-locale patterns with the Welocalize Quality Manager.
- Maintain alignment with the client’s Language Manager and raise evidence-based concerns through the appropriate forum.
- Own the locale’s review service score, including RQE audit and alignment performance, and maintain a valid, well-evidenced arbitration record.
