Requirements
- Have 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience, or equivalent depth gained through other paths.
- Have proven experience with a modern backend language or framework, such as Python, Flask, or Django, or a comparable stack such as Node, Ruby, or Go.
- Have proven experience using AI development tools.
- Have proven experience with relational databases; PostgreSQL is preferred.
- Have professional experience working in a cloud-based environment such as AWS, GCP, or Azure; AWS is preferred.
- Bring a collaborative approach that empowers other engineers on the team.
- Experience with sensitive data, such as protected health information, or in a regulated environment is a nice-to-have.
- Experience with AI product features such as chatbots or product recommendations is a nice-to-have.
Responsibilities
- Keep patients at the center of technical decisions and advocate for privacy, security, and access to care.
- Connect technical work to patient outcomes through thoughtful implementation.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and implement technical standards through code reviews, design discussions, and high-quality code.
- Build reliable, well-structured, extensible solutions while balancing speed.
- Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and stakeholders on complex projects.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and identify potential risks proactively.
- Serve as a technical resource for other engineers and share knowledge through documentation and code reviews.
- Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to technical discussions that shape project direction.
