Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6–8+ years of software engineering experience, with significant focus on cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
  • Ability to independently design, build, and operate production-grade systems at scale.
  • Proficiency in Go, Python, or similar languages, with experience building distributed services.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools Terraform and Helm.
  • Strong experience with AWS services including EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, SQS, and IAM, designing and operating systems in production.
  • Experience owning systems, including on-call, incident response, and long-term reliability improvements.
  • Expertise in cloud security best practices, including identity, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience designing and scaling high-availability distributed systems with automated failover and self-healing capabilities.
  • Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and microservices.
  • Familiarity with HashiCorp tools Vault, Consul, and Packer.

Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture, development, and operation of scalable, secure, fault-tolerant cloud services.
  • Drive technical design and architectural decisions for distributed systems and platform evolution.
  • Lead complex initiatives from design through deployment and ongoing optimization.
  • Build and scale cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes.
  • Embed secure design principles, IAM controls, encryption, and compliance practices into the platform.
  • Improve observability and operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
  • Optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to define solutions and resolve system-level challenges.
  • Mentor and guide engineers through technical direction, code reviews, and skill development.
