Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in accounting, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Deep understanding of US GAAP and ability to communicate complex accounting issues to finance and non-finance personnel.
- Experience managing a team and mentoring staff accountants.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Maxio, and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience monitoring company T&E policy and managing expenses via Brex.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex accounting issues.
- Experience automating accounting processes and implementing accounting systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly and quarterly close process, payroll, billing, AR/AP, general ledger, and revenue recognition.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, tax regulations, and industry compliance standards while mitigating financial risks.
- Drive the annual financial audit with external auditors and partner with tax advisors on federal and state tax filings.
- Manage treasury activities, including bank accounts, the debt facility, compliance reporting, and cash flow forecasts.
- Develop and implement scalable financial systems and processes.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team.
- Collaborate with Finance, Sales, HR, leadership, and other departments to optimize financial performance and operations.
