Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of program management experience in a non-profit.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and knowledge and experience of donor reporting.
- Strong budgeting skills and financial acuity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Customer service and relationship-building experience.
- Ability to take initiative, work with little supervision, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exposure to grant software and database systems is an asset.
- Experience developing and executing granting programs funded by the Government of Canada is an asset.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
- Available for full-time, Monday-to-Friday work, with occasional evening and weekend work.
Responsibilities
- Administer program grants and applications through the Survey Monkey Apply (SM Apply) grant portal.
- Work with national program managers to implement program development plans.
- Develop program communications materials and promote initiatives to stakeholders.
- Evaluate program effectiveness with the national programs team and develop improvement strategies.
- Coordinate grant disbursements with finance and ensure grants comply with the granting and evaluation framework.
- Work with vendors and consultants on program elements, including legal agreements, safe food handling guidelines, and evaluation processes.
- Monitor donor and grantee contractual obligations and support project compliance.
- Submit reporting data and help develop donor and program reports.
- Manage grant program timelines and coordinate internal working groups and grant review committees.
- Build relationships with food banks, provincial associations, and program partners; attend meetings, provide webinar training, and present grant updates.
