Requirements
- Have 4–5 years of SQL database administration and programming experience.
- Have experience developing and maintaining database-driven web applications.
- Have experience writing SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Demonstrate application testing and debugging experience.
- Have experience troubleshooting production applications.
- Know web application security concepts, including cross-site scripting prevention and remediation.
- ColdFusion/CFML application development experience is desired.
- JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, SQL, and AJAX experience is desired.
- ColdFusion Server administration experience is desired.
- Experience with structured software/system testing and defect resolution is desired.
- Experience supporting legacy applications while implementing incremental enhancements is desired.
- VA/VHA, federal health, healthcare research, or other federal IT experience is desired.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain web-based applications supporting HSR and ORD.
- Integrate applications with Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Write and maintain clean, testable application code, SQL queries, and stored procedures.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance-oriented application testing.
- Test application enhancements and fixes before implementation and resolve defects.
- Debug web, database, and application integration issues and respond to production problems.
- Coordinate deployment and implementation of new and updated applications.
- Work with users and team members to identify improvements to application navigation, operation, and user experience.
- Maintain technical documentation covering application functionality, changes, testing, and issue resolution.
