Requirements
- Significant experience leading multi-stakeholder work with senior external participants.
- Experience in or around AI, frontier technology, cybersecurity, platform governance, technical standards, safety, risk management, or emerging technology policy.
- Strong program, project, or workstream management experience, including timelines, deliverables, meeting design, stakeholder follow-up, and cross-functional coordination.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including synthesizing complex input for busy decision-makers.
- Ability to exercise judgment and make progress independently in ambiguous environments.
- Professional maturity, discretion, and credibility when handling sensitive discussions and confidential participant information.
- Ability to facilitate productive conversations among stakeholders with different incentives, technical backgrounds, and levels of governance maturity.
- Comfort working as an early employee in a lean, fast-moving nonprofit where priorities may shift and processes are still being built.
Responsibilities
- Translate working group strategy into workplans, timelines, meeting structures, participant expectations, and deliverables.
- Keep commitments, dependencies, and next steps moving so working groups produce tangible outputs.
- Identify and address risks to member engagement, stakeholder trust, timelines, and workstream coherence.
- Manage relationships with outside technical experts to produce high-quality products.
- Represent R-ABC with senior stakeholders from AI labs, biotech companies, platform providers, funders, policy organizations, and partner institutions.
- Guide productive conversations among organizations with differing incentives, legal constraints, and technical perspectives.
- Produce documents that turn working group input into usable decisions, controls, case studies, and synthesis products.
- Structure sessions to support judgment, debate, decisions, and alignment.
