Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Geology, GIS, Geomatics, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in geological data management, GIS, exploration, mining, or a related technical environment.
  • Experience with geological databases and GIS applications in mining or mineral exploration.
  • Knowledge of geological data structures, drilling and sampling data, assay databases, spatial datasets, and exploration workflows.
  • Experience with QA/QC processes and geological data validation.
  • Familiarity with NI 43-101 technical reporting requirements and Canadian mineral exploration standards.
  • Proficiency with GIS software, preferably ArcGIS Pro and/or QGIS.
  • Experience with geological database platforms such as acQuire, MX Deposit, or similar systems.
  • Experience with data visualization, spatial analysis, and map production.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, or data management tools is an asset.
  • Experience supporting resource evaluation, technical studies, or due diligence is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage geological database and GIS activities across exploration and development projects.
  • Maintain geological, drilling, sampling, assay, survey, and spatial datasets for integrity, accuracy, security, and accessibility.
  • Support data acquisition, integration, visualization, and interpretation using geological database and GIS platforms.
  • Develop and improve geological data workflows, standards, documentation, and governance processes.
  • Implement geological data QA/QC procedures consistent with NI 43-101 requirements and industry best practices.
  • Review datasets to identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and potential quality issues.
  • Provide reliable, documented geological data for technical reporting, resource evaluation, and studies.
  • Compile and interpret geological and spatial information to support project evaluations and decision-making.
  • Prepare maps, figures, presentations, data packages, and other technical materials.
  • Support geological data integration, technical guidance, and improvements to digital tools and workflows.
