Requirements
- Develop web applications using Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages.
- Build front-end single-page applications using frameworks such as Vue, React, or similar.
- Work directly with HTML and CSS.
- Implement automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Have familiarity with software development lifecycle processes, including agile principles, task estimation, version control, quality assurance, and release management.
- Experience with a Unix CLI toolset is preferred.
- Web application deployment experience, particularly with AWS, is beneficial.
- Experience writing technical or functional specifications is beneficial.
- Experience mentoring other engineers is beneficial.
- Experience collaborating across teams, including support, product, and operations, is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve existing software products and the ancillary tools used to manage them.
- Refine interfaces and implementations, resolve bugs, and improve processes.
- Develop test code and treat quality assurance as part of the development process.
- Write technical specifications for larger features.
- Take new features from development through code review and quality assurance.
- Identify potential product improvements and new features based on customer feedback and engineering ideas.
- Mentor more junior developers by sharing techniques and experience.
- Collaborate with support, product, and operations teams.
