Requirements
- Have 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in US GAAP environments.
- Bring direct, demonstrable ASC 842 experience through implementation or ongoing compliance.
- Have exposure to 409A valuations and/or ASC 718 stock-based compensation accounting.
- Have a public accounting background at a Big Four or large regional firm, or experience at a US company or startup.
- Have advanced English (C1+) and be comfortable communicating daily with US stakeholders.
- Have strong Excel skills.
- Be proficient with a major ERP such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
- Have prior remote-work experience and familiarity with remote collaboration tools and platforms such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, or Asana.
- Have significant overlap with US business hours preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own ASC 842 lease accounting, including classification, ROU asset and liability schedules, modifications, remeasurements, and related disclosures.
- Coordinate 409A valuation processes with valuation providers, prepare supporting data, and review draft reports.
- Prepare and record ASC 718 stock-based compensation entries and maintain equity-related schedules.
- Manage month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and close checklists.
- Prepare technical accounting memos and audit-ready documentation for complex transactions.
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors on lease and equity accounting areas.
- Assist with US GAAP financial statement preparation and disclosures.
