Requirements
- Several years of Key Account Management experience.
- Experience managing major retail or drugstore accounts, ideally in FMCG, beauty, D2C, or another consumer-focused environment.
- Strong understanding of physical retail structures, processes, commercial requirements, and account management dynamics across the DACH or a comparable European retail market.
- Ability to analyze sell-through data, KPIs, margins, market trends, and competitive information and turn insights into revenue-generating actions.
- Proven negotiation skills and experience with annual business reviews, assortment discussions, and trading-condition agreements.
- Structured and organized working style, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Ownership, independence, and clear, respectful communication with stakeholders at different levels.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, retail visits, and point-of-sale checks.
- Fluent German and English communication skills, written and spoken.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and commercial focus.
Responsibilities
- Own strategic and operational relationships with major retail accounts and develop long-term commercial partnerships.
- Develop account and growth plans, manage revenue volumes, identify business opportunities, and contribute to retail-market expansion.
- Monitor sales performance, margins, market developments, and competitive activity; manage forecasts, budget planning, KPI tracking, and targets.
- Turn commercial and market data into initiatives to increase sales and improve account performance.
- Plan and execute point-of-sale activations, promotional campaigns, display initiatives, and product launches.
- Lead assortment strategy, monitor in-store execution, and conduct point-of-sale and store checks.
- Negotiate trading conditions, assortment listings, promotional contributions, and annual agreements.
- Coordinate cross-functional retail initiatives and delivery of major account projects.
- Build retail partnerships and take on increasing strategic responsibility as the business expands internationally.
