Requirements
- Have 7+ years of experience in product or UX design, including senior individual contributor and/or design leadership roles.
- Have 2+ years of experience managing recruiters in a high-growth environment.
- Have experience managing senior, independent product designers and earning their trust through product, UX, and design judgment.
- Demonstrate experience leading teams that shipped products with measurable customer and business outcomes.
- Have experience building structure and clarity in complex, fast-growing, or ambiguous organizations.
- Bring hands-on experience designing AI-native products and familiarity with AI-powered tools in your design practice.
- Provide a portfolio showing systems-level product thinking and attention to visual and interaction design details.
- Balance speed, autonomy, consistency, and quality across distributed or pod-based product teams.
- Bring communication, storytelling, stakeholder management, and executive presence skills.
- Act as a strategic business partner while remaining engaged in product and design execution.
- Represent customer needs in senior-level product decisions and navigate ambiguity with ownership and curiosity.
Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, develop, and retain a product design team of approximately 15 designers through feedback, coaching, career development, and mentorship.
- Define and drive product design strategy across multiple product areas to create a coherent, high-quality product ecosystem.
- Partner with product, engineering, and senior leaders to set priorities, solve UX challenges, and translate customer needs into product experiences.
- Pair with designers, review work, challenge assumptions, and help teams resolve difficult design problems.
- Set standards for visual and interaction design quality while enabling autonomous teams to move quickly.
- Advocate for customer needs and simpler, more intuitive experiences in leadership discussions.
- Shape human-AI workflows and integrate AI agents into everyday user journeys.
- Identify improvements to design systems, team effectiveness, product coherence, and shipped experience quality.
- Use product and craft judgment to address details, edge cases, usability issues, and customer friction.
