Requirements
- Bring 10+ years of project management or equivalent professional experience.
- Have 5+ years of external client-facing experience in consulting, professional services, technology, compliance, or a related environment.
- Have 5+ years of experience leading project managers, project management teams, or cross-functional delivery organizations, with demonstrated player-coach success.
- Have 3+ years of experience applying technology and automation to process improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate thought leadership in process optimization and operational transformation.
- Proactively manage client escalations, project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
- Understand project and practice management best practices and independently lead cross-functional teams through complete project lifecycles.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, including with executive-level stakeholders.
- Bring presentation, organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- PMP or Certified Scrum Master certification is strongly preferred; Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, CISM, Security+, AWS, or GCP certifications are valued.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop project managers through performance reviews, mentoring, career development, workload coverage, and team growth planning.
- Develop and standardize project management procedures, reporting practices, and delivery optimization initiatives.
- Establish consistent approaches to project execution, governance, communication, documentation, and performance management.
- Use technology, automation, and emerging AI capabilities to streamline workflows and strengthen delivery processes.
- Create training materials and provide ongoing coaching throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support utilization targets and other key performance indicators while identifying operational improvements.
- Identify and report risks, plan mitigations, manage issues, and escalate high-risk clients and projects.
- Collaborate with quality management, sales, delivery teams, and leadership to strengthen the customer experience.
- Execute project management activities directly when needed while overseeing the assigned team’s performance and delivery quality.
- Manage project schedules, task assignments, resource requirements, client communications, status meetings, and issue escalation.
