Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing software, hardware, systems, or technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of software design concepts and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and demonstrated project management capabilities.
- Working knowledge of relational database technologies and ability to write and understand moderately complex database queries.
- Experience importing and preparing data for reports, spreadsheets, graphs, flowcharts, or similar business analysis outputs.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Visio.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines and quality standards, work independently, and manage complex projects with limited direction.
- Ability to complete required background checks and drug testing.
Responsibilities
- Maintain documentation covering databases, production processes, business requirements, and project deliverables.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, surveys, and other discovery activities with business leaders, end users, system owners, and stakeholders.
- Translate business and technical requirements into structured business analysis documentation.
- Partner with development teams through solution design, development, and implementation.
- Communicate with stakeholders and help investigate and resolve system or project issues.
- Develop test cases and participate in unit, integration, user acceptance, and other testing activities.
- Document and track defects and coordinate with development teams on resolution.
- Prepare reports, recommendations, cost-benefit analyses, and return-on-investment assessments.
- Evaluate systems and operating processes for optimization and improved performance.
- Manage multiple projects, perform system maintenance and configuration, and mentor other business analysts.
