Requirements

  • Meet one of the stated education and experience pathways: doctorate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience; bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years; associate’s degree with at least 8 years; or high school diploma/GED with at least 10 years.
  • Have demonstrated experience working in regulated life sciences environments.
  • Be familiar with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, computer system validation, quality systems, or comparable compliance requirements.
  • Bring strong knowledge of pharmaceutical or life sciences processes, preferably in Process Development, Quality, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain.
  • Demonstrate business architecture, business analysis, discovery, and problem-framing capabilities.
  • Understand demand intake, opportunity assessment, discovery, prioritization, technical review preparation, and pre-delivery planning.
  • Have experience documenting business needs, current- and future-state processes, value drivers, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Have experience supporting business cases, value assessments, ROI estimates, benefit hypotheses, or value realization planning.
  • Be capable of process documentation and modeling using process flows, SIPOC, value stream mapping, journey mapping, capability mapping, or similar techniques.
  • Use approved AI tools to improve discovery outputs, summarize information, structure documentation, or draft business cases.
  • Be able to facilitate alignment across business, product, architecture, solution, delivery, and leadership teams and work independently in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience with AI, automation, process intelligence, digital workflow, enterprise platforms, transformation initiatives, or value and prioritization frameworks is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery activities for AI, automation, process intelligence, digital workflow, and productivity opportunities.
  • Partner with business, product, architecture, solution, and delivery stakeholders to clarify needs, scope, outcomes, priorities, and dependencies.
  • Translate ambiguous requests into structured opportunity statements covering problems, stakeholder impact, value drivers, risks, assumptions, and success measures.
  • Assess requests for clarity, completeness, business alignment, and readiness for intake, prioritization, technical review, and delivery planning.
  • Document business architecture artifacts, including opportunity briefs, process maps, value summaries, business case inputs, and discovery documentation.
  • Define current- and future-state processes and identify inefficiencies, handoffs, business rules, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support business cases and value assessments by documenting assumptions, expected outcomes, benefit hypotheses, and measurable value.
  • Prepare opportunities for technical review by documenting scope, data sources, security needs, dependencies, subject-matter experts, and use cases.
  • Create leadership-ready summaries communicating business problems, recommendations, scope, risks, tradeoffs, and next steps.
  • Use approved AI tools, including ChatGPT, to accelerate discovery, summarize stakeholder input, and structure documentation and business cases.
