Requirements
- Have fluent or native-level proficiency in Welsh and a strong understanding of modern Welsh usage.
- Have professional experience in one or more relevant areas, such as translation, linguistics, language teaching, editing, proofreading, content creation, or language research.
- Have a strong understanding of Welsh grammar, syntax, semantics, vocabulary, style, and cultural context.
- Be able to explain linguistic decisions clearly in writing.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle language errors and inconsistencies.
- Be able to evaluate language objectively and provide structured, constructive feedback.
- Be comfortable working independently in a remote freelance environment and managing assigned work to required quality standards.
- Have reliable access to a secure computer and stable internet connection.
- Be able to work with digital tools and AI-generated content in a structured evaluation workflow.
- Experience with linguistic annotation, AI training, data labeling, language evaluation, or model testing is advantageous.
- Experience in training, coaching, education, or roles requiring clear explanation of language concepts is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Review and annotate Welsh-language content used for AI training and evaluation.
- Assess AI-generated Welsh for grammatical accuracy, fluency, meaning, style, and natural language usage.
- Identify linguistic, contextual, and cultural issues and provide precise, actionable feedback.
- Analyze and document recurring error patterns to help improve model performance.
- Evaluate whether generated content reflects Welsh linguistic and cultural context.
- Contribute expert feedback to prompts, evaluation methodologies, and language guidelines.
- Apply consistent annotation and quality standards across assigned tasks.
- Collaborate remotely with project teams and language specialists to resolve ambiguous linguistic cases.
