Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Have 8+ years of progressive experience in human resources, operations, or organizational management.
  • Have 3+ years of people management and/or team leadership experience.
  • Bring demonstrated success building organizational systems, workflows, and documentation from the ground up.
  • Have proficiency with HRIS platforms and Google Workspace.
  • Apply strong systems-thinking and process-design capability and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Bring strategic planning and project management skills, including setting priorities and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrate advanced interpersonal and ethical judgment when handling sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly in writing and verbally, including through guidance and documentation.
  • Bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on scalable solutions.
  • Experience in nonprofit, education, or technology environments is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and improve organization-wide HR and operations systems, including onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and employee lifecycle workflows.
  • Develop policies, procedures, templates, technology solutions, and documentation standards; maintain a centralized knowledge base.
  • Advise executive leadership and people managers on HR strategy, employee relations, performance management, and corrective action.
  • Lead recruitment strategy and execution, including workforce planning, equitable hiring practices, and selection processes.
  • Oversee HRIS and benefits systems, maintain HR data integrity and reporting, and evaluate tools and platforms.
  • Oversee benefits administration, open enrollment, employee education, and vendor and broker partnerships.
  • Own the performance management framework and develop manager and employee guidance and training materials.
  • Ensure employment-law compliance and oversee personnel files, audits, documentation protocols, and internal controls.
  • Standardize operational processes and partner with the COO on organizational planning and operational risk mitigation.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives in organizational systems, change management, and process improvement.
