Requirements
- Have 3+ years of production experience with strict TypeScript/JavaScript, including generics, type inference, and discriminated unions.
- Have production React experience and ownership of shipping and maintaining live web applications.
- Demonstrate Next.js App Router knowledge, including server and client components, middleware, and route handlers.
- Be fluent in SQL and raw PostgreSQL, without relying on an ORM.
- Have Python proficiency for machine learning data preparation, training, and evaluation.
- Follow disciplined Git workflows, with clean commits and structural code review habits.
- Have familiarity with, or a learning trajectory in, ML infrastructure frameworks through projects, fine-tuning experiments, or coursework.
- Be able to independently research unfamiliar technical stacks and specialized domains.
- Have excellent written English communication skills for documentation, code reviews, and technical notes.
- Be able to work independently with ambiguous briefs and propose sensible fallback paths.
- Test edge cases and attend carefully to implementation details.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary implementation partner working directly in a production codebase.
- Build, engineer, and deploy full-stack system features.
- Design, implement, and submit clean pull requests for review.
- Build and maintain machine learning pipelines, including training data preparation, fine-tuning scripts, and system evaluations.
- Write raw PostgreSQL schemas and queries, including CTEs and window functions, and perform data migrations.
- Develop, scale, and optimize high-throughput model inference steps and custom STT/TTS voice pipelines.
- Break down feature briefs and propose technical architectures.
- Resolve backend production bugs independently.
