Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional iOS software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing production applications using Swift.
  • Working knowledge of Objective-C and experience maintaining or integrating existing Objective-C code.
  • Experience designing and shipping large or complex iOS applications to the Apple App Store.
  • Experience with AI in iOS development, including prompting and troubleshooting with AI.
  • Strong understanding of iOS application architecture, lifecycle, concurrency, and state management.
  • Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and distributed services.
  • Understanding of mobile performance, memory management, debugging, and profiling.
  • Proficiency with Xcode and Apple development, debugging, and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience with automated build and CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Git-based development workflows, code review, issue tracking, and maintainable automated mobile application tests.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred: cybersecurity or security-sensitive mobile application experience, encryption, key management, secure storage, cryptographic APIs, Keychain Services, Secure Enclave, biometrics, passkeys, Swift Concurrency, SwiftUI, or mobile accessibility and reliability practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain secure native iOS applications and features using Swift.
  • Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions across the iOS codebase.
  • Maintain and modernize existing Objective-C components.
  • Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable mobile components.
  • Integrate mobile applications with backend services, APIs, authentication flows, and secure data storage.
  • Optimize application performance, responsiveness, memory usage, and battery efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot application issues using logs, profiling tools, and runtime diagnostics.
  • Participate in code reviews and collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and backend teams.
  • Strengthen automated testing, build reliability, and release quality; support App Store releases and beta testing.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to improve coding, debugging, research, testing, and documentation.
