Requirements
- Have 2+ years of investment banking experience.
- Have 3+ years of corporate development and/or private equity experience.
- Bring expertise in building financial and valuation models.
- Have experience working on M&A transactions of different sizes, from acqui-hires and asset-only purchases to full company purchases and integration.
- Be able to build and maintain complex spreadsheets in Excel.
- Be proficient with Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and Google Slides.
- Be comfortable working with Claude to build automated workflows, memos, and financial models.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and sharp analytical skills.
- Have excellent written communication, verbal, and presentation capabilities.
- Bonus: Have experience in gaming, entertainment, digital media, or internet services.
- Bonus: Have experience navigating matrixed organizations.
- Bonus: Have a strong affinity for gaming and/or entertainment.
Responsibilities
- Work with the CFO/COO on deal sourcing, qualification, initial rationale and pitch, financial modeling, due diligence, and deal closing.
- Support M&A integration periods.
- Analyze industry trends to identify potential acquisition targets.
- Develop industry landscapes and competitive analyses for board and executive review.
- Direct diligence efforts between internal and external parties.
- Analyze diligence data and create board- and executive-level presentations.
- Manage the data room and distribution of materials, and serve as the primary contact for diligence requests.
- Build financial models and forecasts for acquisition targets to inform valuation and budgetary needs.
- Create low-, base-, and high-case scenario analyses with limited information.
- Translate different business models into detailed operating models.
