Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of experience in product design or equivalent experience.
  • Provide a portfolio showing end-to-end design work on digital products.
  • Demonstrate strong interaction design skills, including sketching, wireframing, and prototyping.
  • Be proficient in Figma and experienced working within a component-based design system.
  • Have experience using AI tools in design work, such as Claude, ChatGPT, V0, or Figma AI, and be able to write effective prompts.
  • Have front-end development experience or experience prototyping in code with AI tools.
  • Show interest in designing AI features and understanding of the usability and trust issues they can create.
  • Understand and have an interest in cybersecurity, online privacy, and open source.
  • Pay close attention to detail in small interactions and be able to design for users with a wide range of technical knowledge.
  • Have experience designing autofill, password management, or authentication experiences.
  • Be familiar with iOS and Android autofill frameworks and native platform conventions.
  • Be familiar with passkeys and how websites structure login and checkout forms.

Responsibilities

  • Design autofill experiences for individual, Premium, Families, and Business users across the browser extension, desktop app, and iOS and Android apps.
  • Improve how users fill logins, passkeys, verification codes, payment cards, and identity information on websites and in apps.
  • Design prompts that ask users to save a new login or update a changed password.
  • Design for multi-step logins, unusual login forms, and sites where autofill does not work as expected.
  • Work within iOS and Android autofill frameworks and browser limitations to support consistent behavior across platforms.
  • Help users understand when Bitwarden will and will not autofill, and why, so they can avoid phishing sites.
  • Create user flows, prototypes, and production-ready designs using the Bitwarden design system.
  • Use AI design tools to facilitate and scale research, ideation, rapid prototyping, and iteration.
  • Help run user interviews and usability tests, and review user feedback and support trends to improve autofill.
  • Present work in design critiques and to product and engineering partners.
