Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of experience in product design or equivalent experience.
  • Provide a portfolio showing end-to-end design work on digital products.
  • Demonstrate strong interaction design skills, including sketching, wireframing, and prototyping.
  • Be proficient in Figma and experienced working within a component-based design system.
  • Have experience using AI tools in design, such as Claude, ChatGPT, V0, or Figma AI, and be able to write effective prompts.
  • Have front-end development experience or experience prototyping in code with AI tools.
  • Show interest in designing AI features and understanding of the usability and trust issues they can create.
  • Understand and have an interest in cybersecurity, online privacy, and open source.
  • Be able to design for users with a wide range of technical knowledge.
  • Have strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.

Responsibilities

  • Design experiences for individual, Premium, Families, and Business users across browser extension, web, desktop, iOS, and Android apps.
  • Improve user journeys including onboarding, autofill, passkeys, secure sharing, account recovery, vault health reporting, and importing from other password managers.
  • Explain security concepts in ways non-technical users can understand and act on.
  • Create user flows, prototypes, and production-ready designs using the Bitwarden design system.
  • Use AI design tools for research, ideation, rapid prototyping, and iteration.
  • Collaborate with product teams to explore emerging product concepts, including agentic workflows.
  • Help run user interviews and usability tests, and use the results to improve designs.
  • Present work in design critiques and to product and engineering partners.
