Requirements
- Bring five years of experience with revenue control, financial reporting, and cash handling responsibilities.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance; an MBA and/or CPA is an advantage.
- Bring three years of experience in a similar operational accounting or financial reporting role; this is a plus.
- Have previous experience in a retail environment; this is an advantage.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Be proficient in Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of Access, PowerPoint, and SAP, including spreadsheets and financial accounting software, is advantageous.
- Be able to travel 20%.
- Have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee unit controllers’ monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, monthly and fiscal close, and internal and external audit reporting.
- Monitor routine preparation and reporting of retail productivity measures.
- Support and train unit managers with unit bookkeeping as needed.
- Oversee the monthly close process and connect unit management with corporate headquarters.
- Monitor and improve local controls and accounting procedures where unit-level weaknesses are identified.
- Establish routines for weekly operating and profitability reports, ensuring accurate and timely information for management.
- Analyze month-end results for operational teams, including unit management.
- Prepare detailed and summary forecasts as required.
- Lead the preparation of detailed and consolidated annual budgets.
- Track and maintain monthly profit-and-loss and balance-sheet activity.
