Requirements
- Bring 6+ years of revenue accounting experience; Big 4 accounting combined with high-growth corporate finance experience is strongly preferred.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Information Systems, or comparable qualification.
- Demonstrate an excellent understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606 in complex SaaS, recurring revenue, multi-element, or usage-based business models.
- Have hands-on SOX 404 compliance and internal control framework experience.
- Have led audit walkthroughs for automated IT application controls.
- Have direct experience implementing, configuring, or managing enterprise ERPs and revenue subledgers or engines, such as NetSuite ARM and Salesforce.
- Have proficiency with enterprise data warehouses and BI or visualization tools; database query and SQL skills are highly valued.
- Have led cross-functional project teams, managed project risk, and delivered complex system implementations on schedule.
- Be able to align stakeholders across Sales Ops, Legal, IT, Product, FP&A, and external auditors.
- Be able to explain technical accounting requirements to engineering teams and technical data concepts to accounting leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and configuration of automated revenue subledgers.
- Modernize end-to-end Quote-to-Cash workflows to reduce manual journal entries and spreadsheet risks and shorten month-end close cycles.
- Integrate revenue data across ERP systems, subledgers, and data warehouses with cross-functional teams.
- Automate ASC 606 footnote disclosures, key financial metrics, and reconciliations.
- Partner with Product, Sales Ops, and Pricing teams to assess system impacts and revenue rules for new products and monetization models.
- Act as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors on revenue systems, process changes, and automation workflows.
- Design, document, and test SOX application controls and risk matrices arising from system upgrades and product launches.
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and train finance teams on updated system workflows.
