Requirements
- Bring strong professional experience designing, developing, testing, and operating production-grade software systems.
- Have advanced proficiency in Golang, including backend services and concurrent or distributed systems.
- Have strong frontend development experience with React and TypeScript, including reusable, component-based applications.
- Have strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as MariaDB or comparable technologies.
- Understand clean-code principles, software design practices, and idiomatic Go and TypeScript development.
- Have experience with Docker and containerised application deployment.
- Be able to design and maintain performant, scalable, and reliable software systems.
- Be able to take ownership of features and deliver solutions from concept through production.
- Have experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitLab CI, as an advantage.
- Have familiarity with observability technologies such as Prometheus and Grafana as a desirable qualification.
- Experience using AI tools, or productionising AI solutions, is a plus.
- Familiarity with Material UI, Airflow, Python, or Terraform is beneficial.
- Experience with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance Golang microservices and React/TypeScript frontend applications.
- Own features from ideation and technical design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing improvement.
- Build performant, accessible customer-facing interfaces using React, TypeScript, and established design systems.
- Develop backend services and web application backends using Go and deploy applications through Docker-based environments.
- Make architectural and technical decisions that balance existing systems, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Improve application and service performance, reliability, monitoring, and observability.
- Establish engineering standards through clean-code practices, code reviews, documentation, and consistent development patterns.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Work with large-scale financial datasets and systems that collect, process, validate, and serve data.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to production reliability, CI/CD, infrastructure, and observability initiatives.
