Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- 7–10 years of experience in sales, account management, technical service, or a related commercial role within the pulp and paper industry.
- Experience managing large strategic accounts and complex, multi-site customer relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen, including value-based selling, contract negotiation, profitability management, and growth strategy development.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with executive-level stakeholders and influence key decision-makers.
- Experience developing and executing strategic account plans focused on revenue growth, retention, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
- Strong project management and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
- Experience with financial analysis, sales forecasting, account profitability, and business planning.
- Ability to identify customer risks, competitive threats, growth opportunities, and strategic priorities.
- Fluent in both English and French.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Canada, with travel expected to reach approximately 40%.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual strategic account plans aligned with customer priorities and organizational growth objectives.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities across multiple customer locations, expanding share of wallet through new products, technologies, and services.
- Lead commercial growth initiatives, customer business reviews, strategic planning discussions, and long-term planning sessions.
- Build trusted relationships with senior executives and serve as the primary strategic point of contact for assigned corporate accounts.
- Protect existing revenue by identifying account risks and competitive threats and developing proactive retention strategies.
- Lead contract negotiations, commercial discussions, pricing initiatives, and value-realization strategies.
- Analyze account financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and commercial outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities and lead account-specific projects and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain accurate account forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and strategic business information.
- Provide leadership with market intelligence, competitive insights, account risk assessments, and customer investment trends.
