Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Have 7+ years of project accounting or construction accounting experience.
- Bring experience in construction, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or specialty contracting.
- Have deep experience with WIP schedules and POC accounting.
- Have experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Demonstrate job-cost and cost-coding discipline.
- Have experience with AIA billing and subcontract management.
- Have experience with construction ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint Vista, Foundation, or Spectrum.
- Bring advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling capability.
- Be able to partner with and influence project managers, superintendents, and operational leaders.
Responsibilities
- Lead WIP reporting, Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting, and ASC 606 revenue recognition across construction projects.
- Partner with project managers and operations leaders on forecasting, margin visibility, and project financial performance.
- Oversee AIA billing, T&M billing, change orders, retainage, and accounts receivable tracking.
- Support audits, surety and bonding requirements, and financial reporting needs.
- Improve project accounting processes, controls, systems, and reporting capabilities across the organization.
