Requirements
- Demonstrate positive, energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, and strong writing skills.
- Be able to prioritize tasks, manage a high volume of outreach, and follow through consistently on prospecting activities.
- Show initiative, persistence through setbacks, and the ability to drive projects or activities independently to successful outcomes.
- Know business processes, roles, and organizational structures.
- Be proficient in Salesforce, Sales Navigator, and Outreach or similar prospecting and sequencing tools.
- Have proficiency in English for effective communication.
- Previous technology industry experience or experience in sales development, marketing, or sales is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Execute outbound prospecting initiatives in an assigned territory to generate qualified meetings and pipeline.
- Generate new-logo opportunities and growth opportunities within existing customer accounts.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand business needs, qualify opportunities, and create Sales Accepted Opportunities.
- Meet monthly and quarterly BDR-sourced Sales Accepted Opportunity targets.
- Research and prioritize target accounts, identify key players and compelling events, and develop tailored outreach strategies.
- Use a multi-touch cadence across calls, email, and social channels, using Outreach to engage prospects.
- Track and report prospecting activities and pipeline in Salesforce.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success teams on account lists, campaigns, and call strategies; attend regional marketing events to engage participants and generate leads.
- Document and improve BDR processes in the GitLab handbook and mentor new BDR hires.
