Requirements
- Have 6+ years of experience in program management and/or design operations within design or product organizations.
- Demonstrate success driving operational excellence and supporting high-performing teams.
- Bring product sense and design craft sensibility, with the ability to understand design workflows and translate creative and product strategies into programs and operating models.
- Have experience across the full product development lifecycle, including launching products or experiences end-to-end.
- Have technical fluency to collaborate with design systems and engineering teams, including understanding system architecture, component APIs, design-to-code workflows, and technical constraints.
- Have led complex cross-functional programs from 0→1 and scaled operational systems in fast-paced environments.
- Have practical experience using AI tools, LLMs, automation platforms, or similar technologies to improve efficiency and scale program management or creative operations.
- Have strong vendor and contract management experience, including software negotiations, licensing optimization, compliance, and cost control.
- Be familiar with design and program management ecosystems such as Figma, Linear, Jira, Dovetail, asset management platforms, and prototyping tools.
- Bring organizational change and influencing skills to align stakeholders around shared outcomes.
- Have communication and stakeholder management skills, including confidence presenting to senior and executive leadership.
- Be able to balance hands-on execution with strategic oversight while managing competing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end execution of complex, multi-quarter design programs across Design, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Business Development, and other teams.
- Build and deploy AI-enabled workflows for status reporting, resource tracking, documentation synthesis, and stakeholder communications.
- Manage design tooling vendors and contracts, negotiate agreements, optimize licensing costs, and support scalable infrastructure.
- Manage contractor and agency relationships with Finance, Legal, and IT to support compliance, procurement, cost efficiency, and resource utilization.
- Lead capacity planning, roadmapping, resource allocation, operational metrics, and tooling integrations.
- Partner with design systems teams on system evolution, component adoption, governance, and implementation across product teams.
- Translate design strategy and leadership priorities into programs, roadmaps, operating models, milestone reviews, and measurable outcomes.
- Apply design thinking and product sense to operational challenges and build systems that balance flexibility, consistency, scalability, user needs, and business impact.
- Facilitate planning cycles, resolve complexity, and align design initiatives with broader product and business roadmaps.
