Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Over 5 years of experience with data and business intelligence solutions using Microsoft tools or other BI platforms.
- Proficiency in TSQL, data modeling, and reporting with Power BI or similar tools.
- Experience designing comprehensive Power BI reports with interactive features, drilldowns, and nested parameters.
- Expertise in creating dynamic measures with advanced DAX.
- Knowledge of data mashups and transformations using Power Query/M.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks for developing and streamlining data workflows.
- Ability to select appropriate visualizations and design interactive report interfaces.
- Skill in gathering requirements and conducting focus groups to improve business processes.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Engage with clients in discovery meetings to identify reporting needs.
- Advise clients on Power BI licensing options and explain their benefits and limitations.
- Develop efficient star schema data models, including calculated columns and measures.
- Build Power BI solutions using data from diverse sources, including reports, dashboards, and data elements with DAX and source queries.
- Support clients in deploying Power BI solutions to the Power BI service.
- Set up gateways, DirectQuery, data flows, and data refreshes.
