Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Have 5+ years of systems engineering or administration experience.
- Have experience with Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Have experience with virtualization or cloud platforms such as VMware, AWS, or Azure.
- Have scripting experience with shell, PowerShell, or Python.
- Be able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, RHCE, or AWS/Azure certifications are preferred.
- Experience with configuration tools such as Ansible or Terraform is preferred.
- Experience supporting federal government contracts is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, install, and configure servers, operating systems, and system software.
- Maintain development, test, and production environments.
- Apply patches, updates, and security hardening settings.
- Monitor system performance and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Automate system tasks and deployments with scripts and configuration tools.
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Maintain system documentation and diagrams.
