Requirements
- Have at least five years of relevant industry experience.
- Have at least two years of experience as a lead designer, guiding clients, projects, and people.
- Provide a portfolio demonstrating successful digital products and services that have been designed and shipped.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of modern user research strategies and techniques.
- Have expertise in user experience and interaction design.
- Demonstrate problem-solving ability in complex challenges.
- Show stylistic breadth and sensitivity to diverse subject matter.
- Be proficient with Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a nice-to-have.
- Experience with design systems and component libraries is a nice-to-have.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices is a nice-to-have.
Responsibilities
- Build strong client relationships, understand client needs, and translate challenges into design solutions.
- Work with product and engineering teams to create designs that balance aesthetics and functionality.
- Assess product-development risks related to value, usability, feasibility, and viability.
- Develop and refine design concepts using user feedback and testing.
- Guide junior designers and support learning and collaboration within the design team.
- Use user research strategies to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.
- Explain design concepts and strategies to clients and team members.
