- Have an excellent command of English.
- Have 2+ years of professional translation experience and a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, or 5+ years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree.
- Demonstrate experience translating English to Japanese across informational, marketing, UI, product, and support content.
- Have experience using CAT tools.
- Show attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced localization environment.
- Be responsive, reliable, open to feedback and revisions, and able to communicate effectively.
Responsibilities
- Translate English content into Japanese across informational, marketing, UI, product, and support content types.
- Copy-edit translated content.
- Perform machine translation post-editing (MTPE).
- Work on marketing, UI, product, support, informational, and legal content.
- Use the client-specific CAT tool after onboarding training.
- Deliver an expected volume of 5,000+ words per week.
