Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline; a specific major is preferred.
- Advanced degree such as an MBA, MHA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in health care or health plan analytics.
- Working knowledge of ambulatory surgery payer contract methodologies.
- Expertise in Excel-based modeling, analysis, financial reporting, or data analytics.
- Experience leading a team to achieve business objectives.
- Expertise in healthcare, managed care contracts, reimbursement methodologies, and pricing strategies.
- Ability to build and audit sophisticated financial models and analyze large healthcare datasets.
- Ability to develop reporting solutions and translate findings into business recommendations.
- Advanced Excel skills and fluency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to design, develop, and implement routine and custom reporting.
- Ability to communicate detailed information effectively with C-suite and executive leadership.
- Ability to deliver projects on time using structured project management.
Responsibilities
- Lead payer contract modeling and govern reimbursement models across markets and service lines.
- Perform complex reimbursement modeling, financial analysis, and payer negotiation support.
- Mentor and develop team members in modeling methodologies and analytical practices.
- Direct chargemaster development, maintenance, and pricing governance.
- Partner with departmental leaders to develop price transparency reporting, dashboards, and market intelligence.
- Oversee the aggregation, validation, and interpretation of pricing and reimbursement data.
- Lead analytics staff and establish standards and controls for data integrity and reporting.
- Represent Health Plan Relations on integration committees for acquisitions, new centers, mergers, and center consolidations.
- Lead ad hoc reimbursement analyses and analytical projects requested by leadership.
- Improve talent development, processes, reporting, and analytical tools and technologies.
