Requirements
- Hold a full GMC license.
- Hold a CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Have recent and relevant experience providing safe and effective interventions for people experiencing mental health difficulties.
- Provide safe and effective therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents and families.
- Work within your competence and the standards of your professional body, and be in good standing with that body.
- Have effective time management skills.
- Support and advise the multidisciplinary team where appropriate.
- Be able to support the development of new initiatives and ways of working.
- Be willing to take direction from departmental leads where relevant.
Responsibilities
- Assess and treat outpatient patients across mood, anxiety and neuro-developmental disorders.
- Manage a varied caseload of new and follow-up patients, including some complex and severe, enduring presentations.
- Refer patients in-house to multidisciplinary team members for other therapeutic treatment modalities.
- Attend timetabled weekly and monthly multidisciplinary team and risk management meetings.
- Contribute to clinical leadership and service development where interested.
- Support quality improvement and innovation projects.
- Provide safe and effective therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents and families.
- Make appropriate recommendations and referrals to other services.
