Requirements
- Have strong coding skills and operational experience.
- Have been responsible for operating software you built.
- Have worked on a SaaS platform.
- Have dealt with distributed systems problems such as scalability, multi-tenancy, data isolation, and high availability.
- Be familiar with Golang or be willing to learn it.
- Communicate ideas clearly in writing and meetings.
- Be willing to work across teams and align plans with other squads and external stakeholders.
- Be transparent about plans, involve stakeholders, and remain open to feedback and suggestions.
- Be pragmatic, prioritize progress over perfection, and handle ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Code new features and improve the operational experience of the systems you develop.
- Iteratively improve systems based on production insights.
- Author, contribute to, and review design documents.
- Take an active role in shaping the roadmap.
- Mentor and support other team members.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization and align work with other squads and external stakeholders.
- Participate in weekday 12h x 5d and separate weekend 24h x 2d on-call rotations.
