Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Category Management, Customer Development, Sales Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related CPG function.
  • Experience working with syndicated, POS, and/or consumer and shopper data.
  • Experience with syndicated data providers such as Circana, SPINS, and/or Nielsen.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Knowledge of CPG, consumer, and shopper fundamentals.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities, including managing multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.
  • CPG beverage category experience is preferred.
  • Experience with customer POS portals and scorecarding is preferred; VisionGroup or other planogram and space-planning software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage item and product databases across Circana, SPINS, and Nielsen, including new item submissions and ongoing maintenance.
  • Track competitive products and new SKUs, communicate database updates, and resolve data accuracy and item setup issues with providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain recurring reporting and develop customer scorecards using POS data from major retail customer portals.
  • Analyze POS, shopper, and category trends across brands, segments, pack sizes, pricing, promotion, and distribution.
  • Provide commentary and actionable insights on customer, brand, and category performance, including key drivers and areas for further investigation.
  • Develop and update weekly and monthly consumption and shopper reporting, and communicate relevant insights to internal teams.
  • Support customer presentations, category reviews, sales preparation, and account planning with data-driven insights.
  • Create planograms and shelf mock-ups using VisionGroup or comparable space-planning software.
  • Provide category management and analytical support to Natural Channel and smaller customer accounts.
