Requirements

  • Bring 5–7 years of outside technical sales experience.
  • Have experience involving valves, industrial products, capital equipment, or related engineered solutions (preferred).
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related technical field (preferred).
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with customers, EPCs, OEMs, distributors, and cross-functional internal stakeholders.
  • Understand, analyze, and interpret technical and business documentation.
  • Have experience reviewing specifications, P&IDs, data sheets, and other engineering materials and performing technical evaluations.
  • Demonstrate project coordination skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities.
  • Present technical and commercial information effectively to customers, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Be willing and able to travel up to 50% by air and car for customer meetings, technical seminars, and project support.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with project pursuit leadership to identify, qualify, and develop capital project opportunities and strategies.
  • Maintain project plans and track assigned opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Build relationships with end users, EPCs, OEMs, distributors, and other project partners.
  • Promote technical solutions through product knowledge, consultative selling, and project-specific expertise.
  • Develop and support technical specifications and review project specifications, P&IDs, data sheets, and other engineering documentation.
  • Lead technical discussions, customer presentations, product information seminars, and other engagement activities.
  • Coordinate with local sales teams and provide technical and commercial support to distributors and sales teams.
  • Prepare quotations, reports, forecasts, project documentation, and other sales administration materials.
  • Communicate sales forecasts, market trends, competitive insights, and sales intelligence to management.
  • Collect and analyze information for project evaluations and technical reviews, identify requirements, and develop practical solutions.
