Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of experience in project management coordinating schedules, deliverables, and activities involving multiple stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and/or customers; OR 4+ years supporting mechanical, electrical, controls, commissioning, construction, or field service projects.
- 2+ years reading and interpreting blueprints and technical mechanical systems documents.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% of the time within the USA as required by business needs.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or a Master's degree/MBA.
- Preferred: Data center industry experience with water- or air-cooled chillers.
- Preferred: Commercial HVAC expertise, including centrifugal chillers, Cooling Distribution Unit systems, and airside equipment.
- Preferred: Project Management Professional certification.
- Preferred: Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification or experience with Building Automation Systems.
- This is a fixed-term position lasting 18–24 months.
Responsibilities
- Lead startup, commissioning, and field modification processes for Carrier air- and water-cooled chillers in newly constructed data centers.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track project KPIs.
- Conduct progress meetings with stakeholders to address design, material delivery, and labor schedules.
- Order and track chiller parts needed for warranty execution.
- Coordinate with sales, prime contractors, end-users, commissioning authorities, general contractors, and subcontractors.
- Represent Carrier as the primary liaison and resolve customer concerns.
- Interpret mechanical, electrical, and architectural drawings and ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and standards.
- Apply working knowledge of Building Automation System integration and manage change orders.
- Forecast monthly revenue, manage project and warranty documentation, and collaborate with Service Engineering.
- Maintain job safety standards across projects.
