Requirements

  • Have 2 to 4 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, healthcare finance, or healthcare consulting.
  • Have a general understanding of the end-to-end revenue cycle, including registration, charge capture, coding, billing, payment posting, denials, and collections.
  • Have experience working with healthcare data to identify trends or errors and summarize results.
  • Have experience using an electronic health record or revenue cycle system.
  • Be able to write clear process notes, SOPs, or reports.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and basic formulas, and have working proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Have a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Be willing to learn new systems, federal regulations, and client processes.
  • Be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
  • Desired: experience with back-end functions such as billing, claims follow-up, denials management, payment posting, or collections.
  • Desired: experience supporting compliance reviews, audit readiness, or corrective action plans.
  • Desired: experience supporting MHS, DHA, VHA, or other federal healthcare organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and reconcile accounts receivable data to identify trends, patterns, and improvement areas.
  • Support the development and implementation of A/R management strategies and best practices.
  • Prepare and organize materials for revenue cycle audits and help develop audit responses.
  • Maintain accurate audit documentation and support corrective action plans and remediation tracking.
  • Support revenue cycle compliance policies, monitoring, audits, training materials, and issue tracking.
  • Assist with project planning, execution, monitoring, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Track project progress and identify risks and issues.
  • Facilitate communication among project team members, business partners, and client stakeholders.
  • Prepare A/R performance reports, project status reports, and presentations.
  • Research industry trends, regulations, and best practices and maintain knowledge of federal healthcare policies.
