Requirements
- Have at least five years of sales experience, with a strong emphasis on outbound prospecting.
- Demonstrate a track record of uncovering leads, converting prospects, and meeting new-business sales quotas.
- Have experience generating top-of-funnel pipeline, qualifying opportunities, and managing time effectively.
- Demonstrate resilience, persistence, and self-motivation in pursuing and closing new business.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills and willingness to cold call institutional prospects.
- Be comfortable presenting to large groups.
- Use a consultative approach to identify customer needs and tailor solutions.
- Demonstrate strong organizational ability and an adaptive, collaborative mindset.
- Be willing to travel up to 70% within the defined territory.
- A bachelor's degree in science, marketing, communications, business, or a relevant field is preferred.
- Sales experience in education or publishing is preferred but not required.
- Prior use of UWorld products is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Source new sales opportunities through cold calls and existing leads.
- Build a sales pipeline through phone, email campaigns, trade show leads, and inbound website inquiries.
- Research the assigned territory and target institutional decision-makers.
- Conduct high-value meetings, on-site presentations, and sales demos to secure new contracts.
- Attend conferences and trade shows to develop B2B and limited B2C prospects.
- Forecast sales and develop strategies to enter untapped markets.
- Present webinars to student groups to generate interest and leads.
- Meet monthly and quarterly new-sales revenue quotas.
- Manage post-sale activities, onboarding, retention, and growth of university and college accounts.
- Maintain detailed CRM records and collaborate with Customer Care and Marketing.
